Service Description
CUC provides minor surgery and skin lesion removal in Kildare and Cavan, offering doctor-led assessment and treatment of suitable moles, cysts, warts, skin tags and other skin lesions. Before removal, your doctor will assess the lesion and discuss the most appropriate treatment method. Depending on the type, size and location of the lesion, treatment may involve surgical excision or another appropriate minor surgical technique, usually performed under local anaesthetic. Where clinically indicated, removed tissue may be sent to an accredited laboratory for histopathology (biopsy). This allows the tissue to be examined microscopically and helps confirm the diagnosis or identify abnormal or potentially concerning changes. If a lesion has suspicious features, your doctor will advise on the safest management pathway. In some cases, further investigation or referral may be recommended instead of removal at CUC. Prices start from €450. The final cost will depend on the type, size and number of lesions being removed, the complexity of the procedure and whether laboratory biopsy/histology is required. Your expected fee will be discussed following assessment and before proceeding with treatment. Your doctor will also discuss scarring, wound care, potential risks, recovery and follow-up before the procedure. All lesions are clinically assessed prior to removal, with dermatoscopy used where indicated. Where clinically appropriate, specimens can be sent for histological analysis. Most procedures are completed in a single visit, with clear aftercare advice and follow-up provided. Please note: the standard fee covers treatment of a single lesion. Where more than one lesion is treated during the same visit, an additional fee may apply, which will be discussed and agreed in advance. We offer prompt access, no long waiting times, and seamless onward referral if further specialist input is required.
Cancellation Policy
CUC Medical Booking & Cancellation Policy By booking an appointment with CUC Medical, you agree to the following terms. Cancellations & Changes We require at least 48 hours' notice to cancel, reschedule or amend an appointment. Changes made with less than 48 hours' notice will incur a €50 cancellation fee. Failure to attend without notice will also result in a €50 fee. Outstanding fees may need to be paid before further appointments can be booked. Genuine exceptional circumstances may be considered at CUC's discretion. Late Arrivals Please arrive on time. Significant lateness may result in your consultation being shortened or rescheduled if there is insufficient time to provide appropriate medical care. A €50 fee may apply where an appointment cannot proceed due to late arrival. Medical Appointments Appointment duration and fees vary depending on the service booked. Please select the most appropriate appointment type when booking. Additional concerns, investigations or procedures may require a separate appointment or additional fee. Booking a specific service does not guarantee that a test, prescription, procedure, referral or treatment will be provided. All medical care is subject to clinical assessment and will only be provided where considered medically appropriate. Medical Information Please provide complete and accurate information regarding your symptoms, medical history, medications, allergies and relevant previous investigations or treatments. Additional tests, blood tests, imaging or specialist referral may be recommended following consultation and may incur separate fees. Prescriptions, Certificates & Forms Prescriptions, medical certificates, referral letters, forms and other documentation are issued at the clinician's discretion and only where clinically appropriate. Additional fees may apply. Test Results & Follow-Up Some investigations may require a follow-up consultation to discuss results or ongoing treatment. Patients should ensure their contact details are accurate and attend follow-up appointments where advised.
