Minor Injuries & Urgent Care
Same-day care for minor injuries in Kildare & Cavan, including cuts, burns, sprains and wounds.
Service Description
CUC provides minor injury and urgent care appointments in Kildare and Cavan for patients who need prompt medical assessment but do not require an Emergency Department. Our doctors can assess and treat a range of minor injuries, including cuts and wounds, minor burns, sprains and strains, bruising, minor sports injuries, wound infections, bites and other non-life-threatening injuries. Depending on your injury, treatment may include wound cleaning and dressing, closure of suitable cuts, pain management, prescriptions, tetanus assessment, follow-up wound care or referral for further investigation. Where an injury may involve a significant fracture, dislocation, serious head injury or requires imaging or specialist treatment that cannot be provided at CUC, your doctor will advise you on the appropriate next step or referral. Same-day appointments may be available, subject to clinic capacity. New and existing patients are welcome, and you do not need to be registered with CUC to attend. CUC is not an Emergency Department. Serious injuries, severe bleeding, major trauma, loss of consciousness, breathing difficulties or other potentially life-threatening symptoms require emergency medical care.
