Service Description
CUC provides doctor-led mole and skin checks in Kildare and Cavan for patients who would like their moles, skin lesions or areas of concern professionally assessed. During your appointment, your doctor will review your relevant medical and skin history and examine moles, pigmented lesions and other areas of concern. Particular attention is given to lesions that are new, changing in size, shape or colour, itching, bleeding, becoming symptomatic or simply causing concern. Where appropriate, your doctor may use additional assessment techniques and advise whether a lesion can be monitored or requires further investigation. If a mole or skin lesion requires removal, minor surgery and biopsy (histopathology) may be recommended. Where a lesion has suspicious features or requires specialist assessment, an appropriate referral can be arranged. Regular awareness of your skin and changes to existing moles can play an important role in identifying potentially concerning lesions. If you have noticed a new or changing mole, we recommend arranging an assessment rather than waiting for your next routine check. Appointments are available for new and existing patients at CUC Medical in Kildare and Cavan.
Cancellation Policy
CUC Medical Booking & Cancellation Policy By booking an appointment with CUC Medical, you agree to the following terms. Cancellations & Changes We require at least 48 hours' notice to cancel, reschedule or amend an appointment. Changes made with less than 48 hours' notice will incur a €50 cancellation fee. Failure to attend without notice will also result in a €50 fee. Outstanding fees may need to be paid before further appointments can be booked. Genuine exceptional circumstances may be considered at CUC's discretion. Late Arrivals Please arrive on time. Significant lateness may result in your consultation being shortened or rescheduled if there is insufficient time to provide appropriate medical care. A €50 fee may apply where an appointment cannot proceed due to late arrival. Medical Appointments Appointment duration and fees vary depending on the service booked. Please select the most appropriate appointment type when booking. Additional concerns, investigations or procedures may require a separate appointment or additional fee. Booking a specific service does not guarantee that a test, prescription, procedure, referral or treatment will be provided. All medical care is subject to clinical assessment and will only be provided where considered medically appropriate. Medical Information Please provide complete and accurate information regarding your symptoms, medical history, medications, allergies and relevant previous investigations or treatments. Additional tests, blood tests, imaging or specialist referral may be recommended following consultation and may incur separate fees. Prescriptions, Certificates & Forms Prescriptions, medical certificates, referral letters, forms and other documentation are issued at the clinician's discretion and only where clinically appropriate. Additional fees may apply. Test Results & Follow-Up Some investigations may require a follow-up consultation to discuss results or ongoing treatment. Patients should ensure their contact details are accurate and attend follow-up appointments where advised.
